I am scared that i will not even find someone on an AM setup given my messy past
I think I might just not find my match, even in an AM setup, given my past, and it’s honestly scaring me a bit.
I came out of a 2-year relationship and I’m already 27 now. I’ve kind of given up on the idea of finding a “true soulmate” and have started considering arranged marriage instead.
The main reasons are:
-
I don’t have the time or energy to go through dating apps anymore, figuring out who is serious and who isn’t. I’ve done that before my last relationship and it mostly led to flings, which I don’t want anymore.
-
I don’t really see a fair chance of meeting someone my type at work either. People in my field are mostly very similar(read boring and nerdy), and I just don’t feel that connection there.
I’m somewhat okay with the idea of finding a partner through an age-old setup because the “organic” way of dating hasn’t really worked out for me either.
What worries me is this. What if the guy in an AM setup isn’t okay with my past? I have dated quite a bit, and I keep assuming that most men in AM setups probably haven’t. I feel like if they had, they wouldn’t be there in the first place.
Is this fear irrational? Are there men who have had a similar past with dating and are still open to an AM setup now?
