The 'other' pilot

In almost every interview that Miley has done talking about the origin of Hannah Montana, she says Disney did a pilot with a different cast and it didn't work. I think she's said that test audiences didn't like it or something.

Does anyone know if this is true? Was it maybe Daniella Monet as Hannah? I can't find anything to say it ever happened.
