Does anyone else have trouble running this game in a series x?

Apologies if this is a common thread on here.

I started playing when Palworld originally came out. Got pretty far into the game with a few solid bases and began trying to breed the perfect pals statwise. I used to have some issues linking up with others online but for the most part it was from going into caves.

Recently I tried to jump back in and my Xbox immediately cannot handle the game anymore. I tried restarting with a friend and had the same issue even after reducing the amount of spawning pals and bases allowed. Why did the game run relatively smoothly previously and now it’s unplayable? Is my Xbox trash or did they add more to the game since I last played that’s causing it to crash repeatedly?
