Chapter I: The Hero and The Princess.

"You're on a path. In the woods. At the end of that path, is a cabin, and in the basement of that cabin. Is a princess. You're here to slay her. If you don't it'll be the end of the world."

Fine. I feel too warm out here anyway.

"A little harsh, but I'm glad you've got the right spirit!"

[Proceed to the cabin]

"You make your way up the short path to the cabin. You'll find the Princess within. A word of warning, before you go any further. She will lie, she will cheat, she will do anything in her power to stop you from slaying her. Don't believe a word she says."

Voice of the Hero: We're not going to go through with this right? We're supposed to save Princesses, not slay them

"Don't pay him any mind, he's no idea what he's talking about"

[Enter the cabin]

"The interior of the cabin is stale and musty, every surface being coated in a fine layer of dust. The only furniture of note being a plain wooden table with a pristine blade perched on its edge. The blade is your implement. You'll need it if you want to do this right."

[Take the blade and then immediately leave the cabin instead of going to the basement.]

"Wh-What? You can't just leave. What happened to slaying the world ending Princess?"

Voice of the Hero: You can't just force us to kill someone like this. Good on you for leaving while you could.

"I...I can't just let you leave like this I..I

Voice of the Hero: Who's going to stop us? Not like you can can you?

"I can very much stop the both of you in your tracks if I tried to."

Voice of the Hero: Then you'd already done so.

"Fine then, neglecting your sworn duties you snatch the blade by the hilt and stomp your way back out into the air of the world you've destroyed"

[Jump down a nearby hole in the roots of a- wait what, why is that even an option?! Since when was that there?!]

"You're absolutely right! Why in the hell are you doing this. First you walk out on your chance to be a saviour for all and now you're jumping down a hole to your own grave. But it looks like you've given up on listening to reason"

Voice of the Hero: Hold on...I thought we were going to rinse our hands of this whole ordeal.

"There's no rinsing your hands of anything. What's done is done. You make your way under the base of the tree and tumble down the dirty abyss. Falling squarely on your backside, a sharp pain ringing itself up your spine. A glowing ember is seen at the end of the tunnel "

[Investigate the glowing ember]

Voice of the Hero: Should we really be doing this? What if it's dangerous?

"Oh now you're worried about things being dangerous? Well nevertheless you clamber down the dirt tunnel, the cool dirt and clay crumbling under your fingertips. Eventually though you come to the end and find a small swirling fire"

[Touch the flame and gain the ability to atomize anything]
