The Context:
The timeline of the 2025 controversy suggests the vandalism of The Habitat may have been a strategic redirection of the public narrative.
1. Rahul kanal got great political attention.
2. Headlines changed from samay to rahul.
3. Comedians become "political victim", instead of "obscene"

The Facts:

 1. Narrative Shift:
In February 2025, Samay Raina faced intense national heat and legal pressure due to "obscenity" on his show, leading to a potential ₹8 crore financial loss. Within two weeks of his return to India to face these charges, the vandalism at his primary venue occurred, shifting media headlines from "vulgarity" to "political victimhood."

 2. Lack of Legal Action:
Despite the public nature of the property damage, there is no public record of a formal FIR or sustained legal pursuit by the venue owner, Balraj Ghai, against the primary leader of the group, Rahul Kanal.

 3. Public Reconciliation:
On September 3, 2025, less than six months after the venue was trashed, both Balraj Ghai and Samay Raina were seen at a major religious festival being escorted and facilitated by the same individual, Rahul Kanal.

Conclusion:
The proximity of the legal crisis to the physical attack, followed by a public alliance with the alleged attacker, points toward an orchestrated effort to reset the brand’s image. By creating a "common enemy" in the form of political vandals, the creators successfully pivoted from being the offenders to being the victims.
