Hysterectomy and Bipolar (mostly mania). What is your experience?

My doctor planted some food for thought for me today on a hysterectomy (keep ovaries). Not something urgent, but something to consider over the next couple of years. I am currently 36.

I have well managed BP2 I stay on the hypomania side of things when my moods swing. I haven't felt depressed in years. I take a low dose of seroquel and lamictil.

There are lots of great posts on here talking about hysterectomies and how they impacted or made depression worse for bi-polar folks. For my mania-girlies--did you experience anything crazy post-op?
