Bug Nuzlocke?

Is my first time playing this fangame, in the first fight against Amelia (the girl with the black floette) i lost 2 pokemons because i didn¨t know that in heroic i cant heal, but the pokemon didnt count like dead, i capture a mareep and then i sacrifice this mareep to see if the nuzlocke is active and yeah is active, so then the fight against Amelia is bug or is intended?
And is rare that Amelia has a black floette? in other gameplay she has a normal one
