Citizenship Question
I have a very specific citizenship scenario and wanted to see if there was an avenue to get dual citizenship.
My great-great grandparents immigrated to USA around 1914/1915. Had my great grandmother (EK) in the US in 1915. The whole family returned to Lithuania around 1923. EK left again for the USA around 1942 to flee from the war. She left behind my grandfather in Lithuania. Returned to Lithuania in 2003 and died there 2008. My grandfather had my father in Lithuania. My father had me in 1990 in Lithuania. We all immigrated to the US in 1996. I got married to an American and got my US citizenship in 2022.
Technically I cannot carry both citizenships and my Lithuanian passport is now expired. I don't know if the citizenship by decent law would apply to me as well.
I'm aware this is a longshot but no one has been able to give me a straight answer.
