My job cut our lunchtime down by 30 minutes, and made it seem like being able to leave 30 minutes earlier is a "perk" despite it being legally required...
I'm just annoyed to be honest and just venting. I work a job where I take calls all day, all 8 hours, and it's already a daunting task. The hour break is a MASSIVE mental reset.
I think what's getting to me the most though isn't that my lunch is being shortened: It's that we are being made to feel that the great benefit to compensate is getting off 30 minutes earlier because of it...
As a full time employee, this was already a legal requirement to fulfill.
This gives the energy of a product being "buy one for 2 dollars get one free", when the original price of the product was 1 dollar to begin with. Just because you reword the matter doesn't make me bot realize what's happening.
That's the end of this rant I suppose, I'm just... sad. But that's the world and I know I just gotta keep living it.
