Today is the 4th anniversary of Thom’s Zermatt Unplugged acoustic set. This time, I packaged the audio I used so that it doesn’t have to only reside in the video. It’s basically a further cleaned-up version of an existing audio recording.

So far, I’ve put it here:

I kind of like that sharing method for now because I just split the audio file today, and so if I see something I need to edit, then I can still do that… 😅 Below is the description I have in there with a few changes to fit this post.

___

Once upon a time, in April and May 2022, I cleaned up what audio I could find from this acoustic set and put it into a multicam. Most of it came from this recording: [https://archive.org/details/Yorke\_2022-04-09](https://archive.org/details/Yorke_2022-04-09), and I filled in the remaining gaps with audio from the videos I used. I did what I can only describe as "intensive spectral editing" using Adobe Audition to try to get the audio to sound cleaner for its use in the multicam.

Recently, I was asked if I had a version of the audio split into FLAC files, and I saw that I hadn’t made that yet. After splitting the audio, I realized that I hadn’t done it earlier because it doesn’t all come from the same source and was only built to fit with the multicam, and so it doesn’t cut cleanly into individual songs. Still, I tried, and it contains two short files of “Pre-Bodysnatchers” and “Pre-Idioteque” banter to try to keep Bodysnatchers and Idioteque’s files shorter.

Anyway… I think you would agree with me that this set is essentially a precursor to the Everything Tour-style shows, a proof of concept if you will, even if it wasn’t meant that way at the time. ( ´-\` )

Note that it has “Teleharmonic/Europa” on the list of alternates, and Teleharmonic wouldn’t debut until eight months later on Dec. 4 during The Smile’s show in Atlanta.

For that one, I have my own video: [https://youtu.be/HRaL1pIFH7A](https://youtu.be/HRaL1pIFH7A)

For Zermatt Unplugged’s anniversary, I packaged my multicam’s audio into a download (see description)
