Is there anyway I can get away with not learning Elizabeth Bishop

So in my class so far we did Paula Meehan,Seamus Heaney,W.B Yeats and I think we are going to do Donne after Easter. We also of course did Elizabeth Bishop but the thing is my teacher waffled and complicated the meaning and now like I just can't be bothered to try and understand her poetry.

Is there any lifehack to the poets like idk learning off a few of the poets? Are any of them guaranteed to show up each time or at least are very likely.I used to bank on Heaney but I looked through the papers and honestly he doesn't show up as much as I hoped for🙁
