Putting me Alone on the Floor.. Not Ready

Rant/Vent

Hi, Y’all!

Soooo I just got my CNA fully approved last Monday. I’m working doubles on weekends. This last weekend was rough because I worked a few day shifts. But it was ok. I just checked the schedule and my last shift on Sunday (which is my BIRTHDAY) I am alone on our SNF hall…

I don’t feel ready. I was dragging last weekend. I don’t know if I can do this alone :( I need to build up my speed a bit more. I feel like I’m being thrown in the pool instead of jumping in myself. This doesn’t feel fair to me or my residents. I will have been a CNA for less than TWO WEEKS and have a shift alone??

When did you guys start running halls alone? At least I don’t have to worry about showers that day!
