F1 Visa / full ride student
Hi everyone,
I’d really appreciate any advice or insights on my situation.
A while ago, I applied for a B2 visa twice and unfortunately got rejected both times. At that stage, I didn’t have strong ties or a clear academic plan, so I understand why that may have happened.
Recently, things have changed a lot for me. I was accepted with a full-ride scholarship to one of the top colleges in the U.S., and I’ll be applying for an F1 student visa soon. This opportunity means everything to me, and I’ve worked really hard to get here.
My concern is whether my previous B2 visa refusals could negatively affect my F1 visa application. I’m planning to be completely honest about my history, but I’m still worried about how consular officers might view those past rejections.
Has anyone been in a similar situation or seen cases like this before? Does having a strong acceptance and full scholarship help outweigh previous refusals? And is there anything specific I should do to improve my chances this time?
Thank you so much in advance for your help 🙏
