Oral reaction to edibles

Had an oral reaction to edibles a couple weeks ago, my lips got swollen and I had sores all over my mouth that then sloughed off pretty soon (once I started using orajel mouthwash) the glands behind my chin were also swollen.

It happened literally overnight after using the same brand and strain edibles for about two years. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and if I need to avoid all thc all together (I’m planning to see an allergist, not looking for specific medical advice, just how your body has reacted if you’ve had something similar happen).

My seasonal allergies have been atrocious this year and our air quality had an alert the day this happened, still wondering if that contributed at all.
