If you own an Intel Arc card you probably already know the deal — some older DX9/DX11 games run poorly or crash outright because of driver quirks. DXVK fixes a lot of that by translating DirectX calls to Vulkan, but installing it manually is kind of annoying (find the right DLLs, figure out if your game is 32-bit or 64-bit, copy files to the right folder, etc.).

So I built a small Windows desktop app to handle all of that for you.

**What it does:**

- Auto-detects the DirectX version your game uses (you can override it manually too)

- Downloads the latest DXVK release straight from GitHub

- Installs the correct DLLs into your game folder automatically

- Backs up your original files before touching anything

- Lets you restore/uninstall with one click

- Logs everything so you know exactly what was changed

- Dark mode UI, no terminal needed

**No installation required** — just download the .exe and run it.

It's open source and free: https://github.com/xRetr000/DXVK-Manager

Fair warning though — I'm still pretty new to development and this is one of my early projects, so it's not perfect. You might run into some bugs or rough edges. If something breaks or doesn't work as expected, please open an issue on GitHub or drop a comment here and I'll do my best to fix it.

Would love feedback, especially from Arc users who've been using DXVK to fix game compatibility. Any suggestions are welcome!
