Rent Dittmar and Pets

I live in a Rent Dittmar apartment, and I know the official policy is that pets are not allowed. However, because I see so many dogs, I assumed that the enforcement is lax. I tried to bring my family's dog to my place for a brief moment, but the front desk told us pets are not allowed. Do animals have to be registered as emotional support animals then?
