Planning on coming back - mods?

Hi - I've played Starfield for around 25h when it first came out, but never finished it. Given the newest update and the good reviews afterwards I saw, I feel now is a good time to come back.

Are there any mods that are worth looking into or installing right away?

Not sure also what's the current situation - should I look for mods still on Nexus or did Bethesda mov completely to paid mods?
