Being forced to post on LinkedIn

I work at a startup and we are all being asked individually to post on LinkedIn about some big company milestone. Normally I’d be like fine, I’ll do it, but 1. I don’t like being told what to do on MY social platforms 2. I haven’t posted on my LI in over 5 years so it feels disingenuous and corny and 3. I feel like I’m already being stalked on my LinkedIn after last week I had to amend my about me section because it had old language on there that made it seem like I’m “open to other kinds of work” and am not fully committed to the current company I’m at. I’ve been asked over the past few months to make small tweaks and updates to my LI, to which I reluctantly obliged. I even commented on a post which, again I don’t do. I hate LinkedIn and only really use it if I need to find someone or am looking for a job.

I’m more annoyed at the fact that if I don’t post my manager will indeed call me to “politely” encourage me to post and spin it to say I can use it amplify my own career and accomplishments (I don’t care about using LinkedIn in this way).

My question is, do I just do it to keep them off my back or do I stand my ground just based on principle. In the grand scheme of things is truly not that big of a deal but I just am so over what companies expect from employees these days and it’s unrealistic and overbearing. I just want to do my job no get paid. What should I do.
