I'm pissed at all the news articles talking about automatic draft registration like there's an active military draft.

News organizations are so desperate for clicks that they'll twist or completely make shit up to get them. For example, today, automatic draft registration was signed into law. Basically, young men will be registered for the draft within 30 days of their 18th birthday, meaning that they no longer have to register in person. That's literally it.

However, so many news articles are making it seem like the draft is currently in effect. I've read the various clickbait articles and almost all of them conveniently leave out the fact that automatic registration doesn't mean the draft is in effect.

Congratulations guys! You got readers attention! And all you had to do was blatantly lie and scare a bunch of people.

Honestly, I will never understand how these fucks sleep at night.
