Trying to date as a widow(62)

I’d love to hear from anyone who is in a similar situation. I am ready to get out there after a 32 year marriage. My husband died over two years ago. I can’t for the life of me figure out how to proceed. I have tried all of the apps for many months, and I was not at all successful. Just last night some fake person tried to scam me. It really was incredible. I’ve asked dozens of people in my life for help ( I live in a large urban area) and I have gotten no fix ups. I don’t have many single friends so I am limited in that area of people to do things with.Most people say ‘ have your tried the apps’ and I’m like yes, have you? They are the worst!!! What advice or ideas do you have? I am working full time and am involved in my community and love to stay busy. I am getting bummed out!
