Suicidal Tought and medication

Recruiting

Hi,

I need to know if having had suicidal thoughts in the past automatically gets you rejected from the forces?

Long story short, in mid-2024, I broke up with my girlfriend of 4 years and I took a big hit mentally at that time (suicidal thoughts). It only lasted about a month, but I made the 'mistake' of talking to my doctor about it. She prescribed antidepressants, but I never ended up taking them because I didn't want to fix my problems with pills.

The thing is, the prescription and the suicidal thoughts are in my medical file, and I have to fill out a form asking if I’ve ever had them. My doctor checked 'yes,' but she wrote that they were very temporary and were quickly resolved (though she didn't mention it was because of a breakup). She also checked 'no' for being a danger to myself or others, and for my stress tolerance and adaptation skills, she marked 'Good.'

Is this going to be bad for my application or not?
