Iowa SF2192 senate update

Hello all,

I recently contacted the Iowa senate members and advocated for the legality of kratom and shared a story. As I’m sure some of you know, the bill passed the Iowa house and moved on to the senate, where it has been pending debate. I received about 6 email responses from senators, who all said they oppose the bill. One senator said he believes the bill is far too strict.

I received an update this afternoon that the bill was pulled from their debate calendar yesterday. However, he said that the issue is not completely over until the legislative session is finished.
