Is it possible to softlock yourself out of the marsh?

I’ve got a friend playing MHS3 right now and they fast traveled back into Canalta after starting in the marsh and can’t seem to find their way back to it. How do they get back? The option for the catavan stand in the marsh doesn’t seem to be coming up.
