Should I return my Tamron Tap-in Device after seeing my lens was already updated to work with Z mount?

So my lens ended up having the firmware 2 update and I didn’t need to update my lens, so now I just have the tap in device and am wondering if I should just return the console. I don’t plan on getting a Tamron f mount since now I’m shooting on the Z series.
