Thoughts on having kids?

Question

I apologize if this is an intrusive question. I’m not going to judge anyone. I just want to gain perspective. For me, I was the type who wanted kids. I always believed that significant others can come and go, but you have to really mess up for a child to never speak to you again. Romance doesn’t come easy to me, which is why I considered single parenthood by choice. However, I’m starting to see that parenthood is most likely impossible for me. I have PCOS and endometriosis, so medical intervention is necessary for me to get pregnant, which leads me to the next point. I don’t have the money now, nor do I think that I ever will. It’s going to cost a lot for me to get pregnant, and the costs of giving birth and raising a child are outrageous. I have a master’s degree, but I never had any luck in landing a solid job. I suck at job interviews and I’m not employable. My mom has always wanted grandchildren, and a recent medical emergency has strengthened her desire, but she’s also at terms with the fact that she may never become a grandmother because of current economic conditions. I’m more than ready for people to share their experiences, make me feel less alone, and/or knock some sense into me.
