Nishant Jindal has bought a great revolution in the history of iit jee and his mentorship is great but one thing freshers need to know about him is that he is a well-known but highly polarizing figure in the JEE preparation space, and much of the criticism around him comes from his communication style, messaging, and business practices rather than his academic achievements. One of the most common criticisms is that he often comes across as arrogant or overly focused on IIT superiority, with statements implying that IITians are inherently more successful than others; many people online feel this promotes an unrealistic and unhealthy mindset, especially for students already under pressure. Along with this, his aggressive or “roasting” style of speaking is seen by some as motivating, but by many others as rude or demotivating, since not every student responds well to harsh criticism.

Another frequent point raised is that he strongly builds his brand around his JEE Advanced rank (AIR 247), which critics argue doesn’t necessarily translate into good teaching or mentorship ability. There are also recurring complaints online regarding his paid mentorship programs, where some students claim high fees, limited personal attention, and poor responsiveness, although these are individual experiences and not officially verified facts. Additionally, he has been involved in public controversies with other educators, which many feel distract students from actual preparation and create unnecessary drama in the JEE ecosystem.

A deeper concern highlighted by many is his “IIT or nothing” messaging, which can create anxiety and a narrow outlook, even though success has multiple paths beyond IITs. Because of all this, he is often described as a polarizing personality—people either strongly support him or strongly disagree with him. For a serious aspirant like you, the practical takeaway is to use any useful motivation or discipline insights from his content, but avoid blindly following his ideology or relying on mentorship without evaluating its real value.
