Question About IRCC Accounts?

I apologize as this is probably a stupid question. When I did my family's applications, I created accounts when I paid our application fees (one account for me, and one for my husband/kid as we submitted them separately). Are these accounts the same ones tied to our application in terms of where we go to check status, etc.? My husband/kid just got their AORs and I'm wanting to make sure I'm checking in the right place/ making an account through the link in the AOR letter if it is different than the account for fee payment.
