I need to say it, but landlords and REA are clearly ensuring renters stay as renters

General

Not sure if its been discussed before

But the amount people that are renting at a place is clearly ensuring the renter wont have enough money to save up for a new home

After discussing with numerous people of there situation, its roughly renters are paying more than what homeowners are paying for there loan

The difference in this situation is massive, a homeowner especially if its brand new, is living in a house that is well brand new and is being paid off, however a renters place is most of the time, in a condition that isnt suitable for living, yet the landlord turns a blind eye and tries to point fingers and blame others, but most important is its money that is going down the drain

But the most criminal act here is the cost to rent, the rent should never be this high, especially if the house from the landlord is already paid off, there needs to be a law where once the house is fully paid, the cost to rent the place must be lowered accordingly

Doing so, this can give the landlord two options: continue to lease the place or sell it to someone that will actually live in it and not use it for profit

Especially with the situation now, its not going to get better, its going to get worse!

Sorry for this topic, my niece was renting at a shared place and she says a much older man living there is "perving on her" shes only 18 so i told her to live with me and stay away from him (it still infuriates me that people are still like this)
