Recimarry - collect and share recipes

Hi

I have been working on this app since last year. Originally my target was to suggest recipes to users based on their ingredients, but then I realized, it is tricky to suggest users tasty recipes without copyright issues. so I change the direction of the app and let user collect recipes from recipe websites, FB, IG, Youtube etc., the recipes will be parsed into well-organized format, and translate to their preferred language. Users can tag or organize them into collections. The app is also based from my own need. I found myself often clueless in the kitchen, and the collected recipes give me a lot of inspirations. I also like to share the recipes with my friends/families, so I incorporated this into the app.

I love the process of developing something that I really need. but the pain in the butt is - finding users. I have tried to promot in my social media whenever there are releases, but no one seems to be insterested in collecting or sharing recipes. It is super frustrated to promote the app. I know the recipe app is over-crowded, should I change my direction? or maybe find a job (if I can find one in this brutal job market)

The app is point based, $0.99 for 50 pts, $2.99 for 200 pts, each regular is 1 pt. Youtbue videos sometimes cost 5 pts if video processing is required.
