Seeking guidance with regard to a MIDI interface.

What Should I Buy?

I'm relatively new to synths. Been working in the box for the past few decades. I have two Hydras, a MiniFreak, and a Nektar that I use to play Reason patches. My go-to process is jamming out and recording the session in Reason. If I really love something I'll record the synths into Reason as MIDI. I have the three synths running into a mixer which then runs into an audio interface which then runs into my PC. I have all the synths and Nektar/Reason MIDI cabled with a MIDI thru box with Reason as the hen and the synths as chicks (Forgive me for explaining this in such a crude and rudimentary manner. It reflects my level of understanding.). With this setup I often run into issues with a synth losing its MIDI clock sync, or only being in sync if I press play or record on the Reason sequencer, and so forth. Just general issues related to MIDI, arps, and the DAW-synth hybrid. That is, hopefully, until yesterday, when I learned of MIDI interfaces. Had no idea they existed. Specifically I'm looking at the iConnectivity mioXL. But to stick to the bigger picture at hand, will a MIDI interface make my life easier? I just want to be able to fire up all the synths, the Strymon NightSky, and Nektar/Reason, and be able to dream and play to my heart's content without being interrupted by these issues.
