What do Dentonites think about Walmart/Zipline drone deliveries?

I live near the Walmart on University which recently started offering rapid drone deliveries via a company called Zipline. From a window in my home and when I'm in North Lakes Park, I can see the drones landing and taking off in front of the sunset. I also see and occasionally even hear them overhead.

Here's a press release about it for context: https://www.cityofdenton.com/m/newsflash/home/detail/1251

My gut-level feeling about it is that it's an eerie, unnecessary fad which creates a public nuisance. Very few purchases are actually so urgent, and I don't think it makes sense from a cost-benefit standpoint. If there was a proposition I could vote on to ban this type of service, I probably would.

But before I get too dogmatic, I'm curious what others think about it. Obviously Dentonites are using the service (and spending good money to do so), or else I wouldn't be seeing the drones coming and going. Does anyone feel this is a net-positive and more than a fad? If so, why?
