Why does Reddit auto-translate everything?!! ANDROID

I don't want to read community descriptions in Finnish, they do not translate well at all. So many times I open the app and just about everything is suddenly being translated to Finnish, then I go into settings and language and it just says English like clearly it randomly swaps to Use Device Language and then shows it as English as soon as I open settings so I constantly have to change it back.

But even when I set the language back to English, some things like community descriptions still get translated to Finnish please oh God it's so horrible the translations
