ICT → Skilled Worker switch June 2021 – Can I and my family use COVID concession for ILR? Or Am I 1 day short of SWV visa
Hi all,
I switched from ICT to Skilled Worker visa in 2021 and want to check if the COVID concession (Appendix Skilled Worker SW 21.2(i)) applies to me and my dependants (wife + 2 kids under 18).
Key dates:
ICT valid from: 16 June 2018
ICT valid until: 15 Jun 2021
SWV CoS assigned: 27 May 2021
SWV CoS start: 16 Jun 2021
SWV application submitted: 03 Jun 2021
SWV biometrics: 30 Jun 2021
SWV approved: 28 Jul 2021
SWV eVisa valid from: 28 Jul 2021 to 29 Jun 2026
Without concession, ILR would be around 30 June 2026 (5 years from approval).
Questions:
Does SW 21.2(i) allow me to count from the SWV application date (03 Jun 2021) and apply ~28 days early?
Does the same concession apply to my wife and 2 children for their ILR?
Any recent experiences with similar ICT → SWV switches + family using the concession successfully?
Can I use priority service as well?
Someone suggested if I cannot apply under covid concession I am 1 day short of my SWV visa and I might need a 1 day SWV visa extension before applying ILR.
Thanks in advance for any advice or similar cases!
