Octopus quote refused due to private water supply

I feel like I spend a wasted day yesterday with an Octopus agent spending multiple hours exploring our property only to cut it short nearly three hours in because their central engineer had said that they don’t do installs where water is from a private supply.

For context: our water supply is pumped automatically from a bore hole on property as it is not on mains water. This doesn’t seem to be a problem for our existing combi boiler and we have better water pressure here than all of the previous houses I’ve lived in 😅 the central engineer saw one picture of our pump and basically said “we don’t do those” which seems a bit broad.

My question really is: does the private water supply mean we’re doomed to repeat this with further quotes, or should I be seeking quotes from specific companies that specialise in this kind of thing?
