Elective Twin Reduction to Singleton -- Experiences?

Greetings, throwaway here and I know this has been asked before but I'm seeking input from people who have been through this. Wife pregnant with twins, already have two (4yo and 3yo), and we are seriously struggling with this reality so we are beginning to look into elective reduction. My wife is probably more nervous than I am, but this would be a big strain for our family and I'm trying to support her in thinking through things. The thought of adding twins to our life both excites and terrifies me. Still too early for genetic screening (which could change things) but just trying to be purposeful in evaluating our options. I would deeply appreciate any stories from people who have considered this and chosen either path.
