Reoccurring nightmare

For some context I have a long history of reoccurring dream/nightmares and also occasionally experience sleep paralysis.

My newest reoccurring dream (1.5 weeks now) goes like this:

I am with a group of friends, not people I talk to irl but I vaguely recognize them, we are all sitting on the floor in an empty bedroom in our pajamas. They order food and there is a meal handed out to everybody but me so I get up to leave and have to step over everybody’s plates to get to the door. Nobody talks this whole time.

I get out the door and I’m on a dreary/rainy bike trail. I start walking and I notice a man walking behind me. I stop to look down at my phone and the man runs up being me and starts kissing my neck and trying to tell me something in my ear. his breath is really hot and overwhelming.

We fight and he pulls out a pair of silver scissors and stabs me through the upper thigh but the scissors break apart into two blades and I use the other blade to stab him through the hand.

I run away and I get home, not my irl house but again vaguely familiar, I’m locked out and I can’t get in so I’m pounding on the door. I look over to the neighbor and two preteen siblings are also locked out of their house and are wailing hysterically to be let in. They are dressed similar to how I dressed at that age and kind of remind me of myself or my friends from that time.

I tell them something reassuring that I can’t remember and they stop crying but don’t respond to me and then the dream ends.

Any thoughts/insight? I find when I try to think nightmares like this through sometimes they will go away.
