Looking for input on new road bike

I have been riding my gravel bike(primos dame) for about two years now. But I find myself going on the street more and more lately so I’ve been floating the idea of purchasing a road bike. I have been looking through FB marketplace for quite some time now and I just haven’t found exactly why I’m looking for. What are some brands of bikes that you enjoy and what are the brands you should completely avoid at all costs? I find there’s so many options and online retailers that I can’t make up my mind what’s good or not. Any input is greatly appreciated
