Any ideas on environmentally friendly offerings for nature spirits

Does anybody here work with plant spirits or nature spirits specifically tree spirits? Any advice on offerings I can give in return for help? I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time now but I think the offerings should be at the very least biodegradable since giving offerings (that destroy nature) to nature spirits kinda misses the whole point
