Built a simple paper‑investing app at 14, looking for feedback on the experience/UI
Hey everyone, I’m 14 and I’ve been working on a small project to help myself (and maybe other teens) understand how the stock market works without touching real money.
It’s called Invest With Maximum, and it’s basically a clean paper‑investing app with real stock data. You pick a starting balance, buy/sell real stocks with fake money, and learn by watching how your portfolio moves. I also added a simple AI mentor that explains things like earnings, P/E ratios, and market concepts in normal language because I kept getting confused by all the jargon.
Some things I’ve built so far:
- live charts + real‑time prices
- a stock screener
- watchlists + earnings info
- a basic paper‑trading flow
- an AI “Ask Maximum” feature for explanations
I’m not trying to promote anything — I mainly built this to learn how to ship a real product. I’d love feedback from people here who’ve built stuff before:
-
does the UI feel clean or confusing?
-
does the idea make sense?
-
what would you improve if this were your project?
-
anything feel unnecessary or missing?
If you want to try it, the link is here: investwithmaximum.com
Thanks, any thoughts help a lot.
