221g H1b Visa

Hi everyone,

I recently attended a visa interview at the U.S. Consulate in Hyderabad and was issued a 221(g) requesting that my social media profiles be made public. However, my profiles were already set to public at the time of the interview.

My passport was initially retained, and the only discrepancy I noticed was that my DS-160 listed only my Facebook account. I also have an Instagram account, which I mentioned in my response to the initial 221(g).

After about a week, I received my passport back along with another 221(g) notice stating: “Failure to follow instructions regarding social media.”

Has anyone faced a similar issue? If so, how did you resolve it and how long did it take?
