Women and nonbinary people getting top surgery
I'm in a few spaces that talk about top surgery that are inclusive of all gender identities looking for resources and ive noticed a significant number of people in these groups are cis women or afab nonbinary talking about their results and experiences.
Now to a degree I don't really care about what people do to their bodies as long as they're happy and aren't harming themselves but I've noticed that most times that ive seen people genuinely complaining about their results it's from these two groups, moreso nonbinary people. For cis women I can understand and sympathize with wanting to remove their chests due to oversexualization and/or health reasons but sometimes it feels like they dive head first into getting surgery before fully looking into ways to alleviate that disconnect without doing something permanent. But again I can understand where they're coming from
With nonbinary people however it seems they to complain the most, going beyond what seems like typical gender dysphoria. Like when I see trans men complaining about post op it stems from a fear that their chest still won't pass due to swelling or scars. But when nonbinary people complain it seems less about the results and more about the procedure itself, whether it be a radical reduction or a full removal. It's a common trend of getting the procedure and then panicking that they made a mistake.
