Selling our land to buy an 2 BHK apartment

I’m really confused right now

Buying an apartment is good or selling a independent house with land and buying the same

The thing is I’ve been living in an apartment as a tenant since my childhood and we have an independent house with land now we are deciding not to be tenants anymore so i thought to go to our independent house but there’s one catch we can’t live there directly the house is so small like independent 1bhk but for years we are living in an 2bhk apartment as tenants

So we have to demolish the old building and build a new house

But my parents can’t afford to build a house and currently my salary is also low to be frank just 25K per month i can’t take a huge loan and repay for years and i don’t know whether will i get loan or not so after discussions we came to a decision to sell our house and we got a buyer to sell

And here in our apartments there’s a 2bhk house for sale

I’m planning to buy that but my parents saying that we can buy a independent house

What i said it instead of buying an independent house why we are selling our own house we can live for tenants once i get married in future we’ll build a new house there

As i said earlier I’ve been living in apartments for years so it’s okay to buy a apartments but what my parents are saying is if we buy a independent house in future we can build like that

So I’m really confused right now so kindly help me understand which is better buying an apartment or buying an independent house
