Is this a case of curl shock?

So about a year and a half ago my hair started to get extremely curly after I buzzed it and out of nowhere (went from 1c to 2c) and I ended up growing it out all that time with only 2-3 maintenance cuts in between.

Yesterday I got a haircut and the barber took way too much off but the worst part is that my hair is literally straight, I’d say 1c or below. It’s not short enough to the point no curls would form because when it was this length over a year ago it was extremely curly, I’m super nervous that my hair won’t ever go back to that.

Has anyone else went through this drastic of a hair type change after a haircut? If so did it come back curly eventually? I really need some clarity, kind of freaking out lol…

My routine:

Sleep every night with bonnet

Bonding oil and leave in conditioner everyday

Shampoo 2-3x/week conditioner 6-7x/week
