Anybody been prescribed midodrine for hyperadrenegic dysautonomia?

Question

Hello friends!

I have hEDS and also working diagnosis of hyperadrenegic dysautonomia as I have overreactions to scares, easy sweating, hand tremors, cold hands and feet, temperature regulation issues (pretty much only happy between 24-25C), tiny bit urinary incontinence like when I get too excited, sometimes over frequent urination.

I don’t faint so I don’t think I have typical POTS. I have been prescribed propranolol and I think it works well for me, I don’t yell at scares as much, less sweating, less palpitations.

However my rheum who is managing it just prescribed my midodrine, which I don’t understand at all as online resources say it has an opposite effect to propranolol.

Anyone been prescribed these both together? Is there som unknown effect that internet search does know about? The medications are piling up during morning and night so I’m wary to add every new one, and I live alone so an adverse reaction would be difficult to manage.

Appreciate any similar experiences, am in NYC if that helps.
