Spore Mines

Does anyone know whether spore mines exploding on you during an enemy turn counts as you defeating it?

Take the current psyker HSE as an example. We need to defeat enemies with the psyker to gain points. This makes me think if a spore mine attacks you and explodes, then you haven't really defeated it with a psyker?
