How do I get rid of homosexual thoughts?

I'm so confused as to why I am having homosexual thoughts as a strictly religious Muslim , I go to the mosque pray 5 times a day and I am a young Quran teacher (18). I seriously don't know how to stop these thoughts and let go of these temptations and become attracted to men instead and it is made me very disappointed in myself, obviously acting upon these thoughts in my religion is forbidden ,so how do I stop myself before its too late??
