2005 Tahoe 2wd 10 bolt diff rear wheel bearing install issues

Question

I got the old ones out easily enough.

Go to install the new ones and it will inevitably get crooked/jammed and I need to pull it out and try again. I tried putting the old one back and it went right in first try. I don't know if I'm just not giving it enough beans on the first strike or what but it's clearly not going in like all of the videos I've watched. I've lubed it with diff fluid, froze the bearings and heated up the tube some. I am using the proper punch from harbor freight everyone is using with a 3lb hammer or 2lb deadblow.

I measured em and they're within 2 thousandths of the old ones, arguably smaller, although different shoulder profile. Called Autozone and they confirmed it's the right part number, serial number matches the box too. They're the duralast DL513067.
