People who don’t want to take antipsychotics aren’t automatically incompetent.

This may sound like a popular opinion on the surface, but in practice a lot of people assume that anyone who was prescribed antipsychotics must need them and therefore just doesn’t know what’s best for them if they don’t want to take them. But some doctors hand out antipsychotics like candy, and they have horrible effects that can be worse than the condition itself. Assuming anyone who doesn’t want to take antipsychotics is automatically wrong is ridiculous and harmful.
