It might not be a good idea to use a tracking app
I get it Fun to look at your Pokémon cards value going up on a nice convenient app but be careful because it could have some major repercussions. First anything can be hacked and who wants strangers knowing what cards do you have in your home? It’s not like stocks or bond, it would physically in your home to steal.
The worse one is letting the government know what you have and what its value is, especially when AI will soon be a tool of the tax man. Make sure you save all those receipts for all those packs you buy, and get receipts for the raw card you buy if you want to put them in an app, if not you will be paying taxes on 100% realized gain when you could’ve actually lost money getting those cards. In 2008 I had to sell $5000 collection but I only had to pay taxes on about $20,000 of it because I had the receipts of what I paid for it. I see people on here with six and seven figure collections that they put into these applications and for some of them it will come back to bite them in the arse. Your phone doesn’t need to know everything.
