Is getting fit for wedges indoors worth it?

Equipment Discussion

Hello all,

I’m at the point in my game where I want to get fitted for wedges. However, I don’t have many great options in my area. I’m already cursed by being a lefty in a more rural area, but the fitter I have used in the past can only fit for wedges on a simulator. I’m slightly concerned that If I go through with it that I’ll just be fit for 10 degrees of bounce with the current shaft I have in my irons.

So my question: for those who have gotten fit for wedges, are you satisfied from the simulator, or is it worth it to try and go to a titleist/country club fitting day? Or should I just try and fit myself based on the online wedge tests/what my experiences are with my current equipment?

Thanks in advance!
